“If God gave wings to the snake, the world wouldn’t be the same.” – Bezerra da Silva

With this phrase as its foundation, Asa Cobra introduces itself to the world with its debut single, “Asa à Cobra” — a sonic and poetic statement that embodies the rebellious and transformative spirit of this new Portuguese-Brazilian band.

Founded in early 2024, Asa Cobra was born from the encounter between singer and lyricist Carollyne Barreira (Brazil) and musicians and producers Marco Castro and Igor Domingues (Portugal – Throes + The Shine). The band defines itself as a visceral and questioning project — a manifesto in musical form, where revolt and love coexist.

“Asa à Cobra” is more than just a debut single — it’s the first cry of a new identity. With provocative lyrics, Brazilian groove, electronic pulse and organic textures, the track expresses the band’s sonic DNA: a blend of tradition and rupture, rootedness and vision.

Recorded in Vila Nova de Gaia by the trio and mixed by Marco Castro, with mastering by Clara Araújo, the single is accompanied by a live session video, now available on YouTube, showcasing the group’s powerful visual and performative presence.

This release marks the beginning of Asa Cobra’s debut album, set for 2026, and positions the band as one of the most compelling new voices in the Portuguese-speaking music scene.
